Bradley Cooper Is Red Hot

Written by: FFT Webmaster | June 7th, 2011

If there was any doubt before that Bradley Cooper is now a full-fledged movie star, the first few months of 2011 have wiped that away. He took an underdog genre picture LIMITLESS to an impressive gross of nearly $150 million worldwide, mainly on his name (who was that co-star of his? Some guy named De Niro). THE HANGOVER PART II has become a box office behemoth, despite some poisonous reviews. His newest projects are a mix of blockbuster tentpoles and some more quirky choices that seem to reflect his origins on the live stage. He is talking about starring in a possible remake of THE CROW and a big-budget version of PARADISE LOST where he would play The Devil. . He has also signed to THE PLACE BEHIND THE PINES, the second film from Derek Cianfrance whose BLUE VALENTINE was one of the indie highlights of last year. Ryan Gosling who was robbed of an Oscar nomination for that film again reteams with the director. He is also attached to the indie project THE WORDS, which marks the directorial debut of TRON LEGACY writers Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal. The film features a strong cast including such stellar names as Jeremy Irons, Dennis Quaid, Zoe Saldana, John Hannah and J.K. Simmons, with Cooper the name above the title that will likely create the most buzz when the film is released next year.
