Createasphere Popular Session Offers Critical Knowledge for Content Creators

August 4, 2009 (New York, NY)      Manhattan Edit Workshop and Evan Schechtman will present Retool Bootcamp: From Broadcast to Broadband during the upcoming HD EXPO – Createasphere event slated for September 17th at the New Yorker Hotel.  Retool Bootcamp is an intensive three-hour seminar that demystifies key areas of the digital media pipeline and fills in knowledge gaps along the way.  With a focus on vital workflow concepts and applications used in real-world environments, Retool Bootcamp presents an in-depth understanding of how modern work is executed for both broadcast and web delivery, from complex technical concepts to easy-to-implement tips and tricks.

Retool Bootcamp was created by and will be taught by Evan Schechtman, founder of Outpost Digital, New York’s first and largest Final Cut Pro facility.  With more than fifteen years experience pioneering new workflows, Schechtman has created and configured post production facilities all over the world.  Having helped define the cutting edge in digital media workflow, Schechtman possesses a unique insight into the world of technology, business and promotion.  As the digital pathway opens and grows more complex, sessions such as Retool Bootcamp offer important tools for content creators.

Manhattan Edit Workshop will present Retool Bootcamp as just one part of their participation in HD EXPO – Createasphere.  ‘MEWShop’ participated at the launch of the east coast HD EXPO in 2008 and returns with an expanded presence this year. MEWShop will be present on the trade show floor and is sponsoring American Cinema Editors – How the Editor Tells the Story: Creativity, Teamwork, Technology, a discussion with some of the most renowned editors working in entertainment today.

Final Cut Pro Certification is being offered by MEWShop, as they present another critical education component for working professionals and up and coming editors who want to stay on top of developments in FCP and new versions including the recently announced FCP 7.  Josh Apter, Founder of Manhattan Edit Workshop, noted that “With Retool Bootcamp and the Final Cut Pro Certification, we are covering a wide spectrum of need for editors, both working and aspiring.  We are excited to be at HD EXPO – Createasphere this year, the event is gaining traction, and we are thrilled to be part of the training highlights offered there.”
