Shia LaBeouf Brings His Short Film To Cannes

Written by: FFT Webmaster | May 18th, 2012

Shia LaBeouf (TRANSFORMERS) will serve double duty in Cannes, when the busy actor presents his short film Howard during International Critics Week, one of the Festival’s notable sidebars. Howard is the story of a film critic played by Jim Gaffigan, revealing LaBeouf’s own quirky critique of film critics. The actor has previously produced several music videos including Linkin Park’s New Divide, Kid Cudi’s Marijuana and Cage’s I Never Knew You. He also produced a short film BORN VILLIAN for goth rocker Marilyn Manson’s last album. LaBoeuf, who directed his first short film MANIAC in 2011, will also walk the red carpet as he attends the world premiere of official competition entry LAWLESS, a 1930s-set film by John Hillcoat that also stars Tom Hardy, Jessica Chastain and Guy Pearce.
