The Weinsteins Take Tribeca Doc Fave

The Weinstein Company has acquired THE BULLY PROJECT, a documentary film chronicling the bullying of several high school students over the course of a student year. The film by Lee Hirsch had its world premiere this past weekend at the Tribeca Film Festival and is currently a leading contender for the Documentary Audience Prize. The Weinsteins acquired all rights for North America, U.K., Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Germany, plus Pan-Asian Satellite TV distribution rights.
