Will Ferrell’s Spanish Language Film

Written by: FFT Webmaster | November 30th, 2011

Actor/comedian Will Ferrell is stretching his linguistic gifts to include Spanish for a new film called CASA DE MI PADRE. The Spanish language film, directed by Matt Piedmont, also stars Mexican superstars Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal (of Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN fame), in a homage to classic westerns and Spanish telenovelas. The film has already been shot and may well show up at the Sundance Film Festival. It is slated for theatrical release on March 16 via Pantelion Films, a Hollywood-based distribution company that focuses on Hispanic entertainment. The film also includes a title song performed by superstar Christina Aguilera. This could be one of the kitsch projects of the new year.
