Cinema Classics At Lincoln Center

A selection of cinema classics and rarities are on tap at New York’s Film Society of Lincoln Center from July 15 to 18 with the UCLA Festival of Preservation, a showcase of works that have been restored by the famed UCLA Film & Television Archive. FSLC hosts its premiere New York engagement, featuring breathtaking new restorations of overlooked classics by Robert Altman, Cecil B. DeMille and Douglas Sirk, rare films by Samuel Beckett and John Steinbeck, and many more previously “lost films”. Other highlights include the screening of three LGBT film rarities from the Outfest Legacy Project including the prescient 1984 documentary CHOOSING CHILDREN about the experiences and struggles of lesbian couples going through the adoption process.
