IFC Midnight Acquires Supernatural Thriller

IFC Midnight has acquired U.S. rights to writer-director Padraig Reynolds’ supernatural thriller RITES OF SPRING. The film, the story of kidnappers whose hideout in an abandoned school is attacked by a mysterious creature, features a cast that includes A.J. Bowen, Anessa Ramsey, Sonny Marinelli, Katherine Randolf, Marco St. John, Hannah Bryan, Sarah Pachelli, James Bartz, Shanna Forestall, Skylar Burke and Andrew Breland. “We’re thrilled to be working with Padraig Reynolds on his immensely entertaining, genre-bending thriller,” said Sundance Selects/IFC Films president Jonathan Sehring. “He’s a major talent, and it is sure to be one of our most popular IFC Midnight titles next year.” A sister division to Sundance Selects and IFC Films, IFC Midnight focuses on genre releases, including such recent hits as THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE, VENGEANCE and SUPER. Upcoming releases include THE INCIDENT and PENUMBRA.
