IFP’S SCRIPT TO SCREEN CONFERENCE, MARCH 5
PRESENTED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH NFF:
IFP’s Script to Screen Conference explores new opportunities available to indie filmmakers and writers with a full day of workshops, seminars, and networking. Continuing our mission to support the art of screenwriting, the Festival proud to partner with this year’s Script to Screen.
NFF Newsletter subscribers can now receive discounted member-price tickets at $80!
The Festival will be presenting the day’s keynote speaker, veteran writer/director and NFF 2010 Screenwriters Tributee Barry Levinson (DINER, AVALON, SLEEPERS), and a live reading of scenes from screenplays in IFP’s Emerging Narrative Program, moderated by NFF Artistic Director Mystelle Brabbée. The day will also feature a conversation with Mark Heyman (BLACK SWAN); a look at new platforms for writers with Carol Kolb, Head Writer of the Onion News Network; a case study with the creative team behind Sundance breakout MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE; a networking coffee, and once again a chance for selected attendees to pitch their script idea to a panel of experts.
Submissions for our Screenplay Competition close on March 11. The winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize and a spot at the prestigious Screenwriters Colony, a 30-day writers retreat on Nantucket. We are also accepting submission for Films. The Regular Deadline for Film submissions is March 7.
