Austin Theater Throws Out Texter

The Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas made headlines this week when it forcibly ejected an audience member who insisted on texting, despite warnings to stop. The theater, which shows independent and foreign films exclusively, has a strict “no talking, no texting” policy. The ejected customer was so incensed at being kicked out that she called the theater office and left an expletive-filled rant, which the theater has now incorporated into a “Don’t Talk or Text” PSA that it now runs before each screening.
