Indie Filmmaker Promotes Geek Comedy At Comic-Con

Written by: FFT Webmaster | July 27th, 2011

While much of the attention at Comic-Con, the huge promotion confab for fantasy and genre films that just concluded this past weekend in San Diego (see Lead Story on our  Home Page), was on the big ticket films coming from Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson and others, indie filmmakers also were trolling the halls trying to get attention for their modestly budgeted films. One of them was director Joe Lynch, who created some initial buzz at his event for his film KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM, a comedy-fantasy film being shot in Spokane, Washington. In the film, geeky aficionados of Dungeons & Dragons accidentally awaken a real hell-demon. Lynch has assembled a fanboy-friendly cast that includes Steve Zahn (JOY RIDE), Peter Dinklage (GAME OF THRONES), Ryan Kwanten (TRUE BLOOD) and Summer Glau (FIREFLY). “This was completely made with the Comic-Con crowd in mind”, Lynch states on his website: http://joelynch.net
