Next Up For Marvel Comics

Written by: FFT Webmaster | October 7th, 2011

Despite several high profile lawsuits involving comic book artists suing for compensation, Marvel Comics has been on a roll this past year, with big box office bonanzas this summer with THOR and CAPTAIN AMERICA, and a huge payday expected for the multi-super hero film THE AVENGERS. News is also emerging of several other films coming from the studio that will be unveiled in the next few years: IRON MAN 3 is in pre-production with director Shane Black (KISS KISS BANG BANG) reuniting with his lead actor Robert Downey Jr.; THOR 2 will bring back this summer’s Norse god with director Patty Jenkins (MONSTER) in talks for the job; ANT-MAN, a lesser known superhero of tiny stature but major strength, is being developed by writer/director Edgar Wright (HOT FUZZ); the multi-superhero franchise GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY would bring together a number of alien warriors who are the last of his or her kind; and INHUMANS, which follows a society of heroes who evolved from alien experiments on primitive earthlings and were then cast off into their own galactic kingdoms. Expect more fun and fantasy in the coming years from Marvel Studios.
