Stellar Cast Set To Star In Quentin Tarantino Western

Written by: FFT Webmaster | November 14th, 2011

Another high-profile name has signed on for director Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming slave-era western DJANGO UNCHAINED. Sacha Baron Cohen of BORAT and BRUNO fame has joined the production, which already includes such starry names as Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Kurt Russell. In his first attempt at the Western genre, Quentin Tarantino has crafted an original script that follows the exploits of a German dentist (Waltz, an Oscar winner for the director’s INGLORIOUS BASTERDS) who becomes a bounty hunter and buys Django (Foxx) to help him identify one of his prey. Along the way the two develop a friendship and hatch a plot to save Django’s wife from a plantation owner (played by DiCaprio). Baron Cohen will play a gambler who buys Django’s wife. DJANGO UNCHAINED will be released domestically by the Weinstein Company and by Sony Pictures internationally.
