Tony Award Winner To Be Distributed by Sony Pictures Classics

Another prominent Broadway show, the Tony Award-winning “God Of Carnage”, is being adapted for the big screen.Academy Award winning director Roman Polanski is adapting the New York and London sensation written by acclaimed playwright Yasmina Reza, which will be distributed by arthouse stalwart Sony Pictures Classics. The stage version, which in 2009 won the Tony Award for best play, chronicles two Brooklyn couples who are brought together by a playground fight between their children, leading to a night of arguing, drinking and vomiting. Its original Broadway cast featured Marcia Gay Harden (a Tony winner), James Gandolfini, Hope Davis and Jeff Daniels (all Tony nominees). The film features a script written by Mr. Polanski and Ms. Reza, and will star Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz and John C. Reilly.
