FCP 7 Certification set for HD EXPO – Createasphere

August 13, 2009 (New York, NY)   Manhattan Edit Workshop (MEWShop), a full service Apple, Avid and Adobe Authorized Training Center specializing in the art and technique of editing, will provide FCP 7 Certification during September’s HD EXPO – Createasphere.  The FCP Certification Workshop, a specially priced 2-day workshop and exam for the newly released Final Cut Pro 7, is set for September 15 & 16th at the New Yorker Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. The course will be taught by Chris Biggins, one of Apple’s top Final Cut Studio Master Trainers.

MEWShop’s Final Cut Pro Certification course is the equivalent of Apple’s certified Final Cut Pro 100 class, but it includes a free Level-One Certification Exam. Students that Pass the Level-One Certification Exam are differentiated as highly skilled FCP users, and receive a certificate from Apple that sets them apart as an Apple-Certified Professional.  Apple-Certified Pros have the right to use the Apple-Certified Pro logo on promotional materials.  The cost for the course and the test is $795.

There are a number of editing-centric events at HD EXPO – Createasphere that might be of interest to the FCP community; a panel of the industry’s top editors, sponsored by America Cinema Editors, Evan Schechtman’s Retool Bootcamp – Maxing out your Mac, and a Super Summit of the three A’s: Apple, Avid & Adobe, a gathering of the three major NYC User Groups.  Registration for HD EXPO is free before September 17th, 2009.

MEWShop offers a full range of professional training and is an active member of the content creation community in New York.  MEWShop recently sponsored EditFest NY for the east coast premier of the highly respected American Cinema Editors event.  Josh Apter, founder of MEWShop, commented “We have designed entertaining but targeted training that gives our students what they really need to know. We are excited to return to our second year at HD EXPO.”
