Miramax Hooks Up With Netflix

Written by: FFT Webmaster | May 17th, 2011

Miramax, the former Disney division that was founded but now is no longer associated with the Weinstein Brothers, has announced a multi-year agreement with Netflix that will allow subscribers in the U.S. to instantly watch some of the world’s most loved and acclaimed motion pictures from the Miramax film library.  It is the first time Miramax titles have become available through a digital subscription service. Beginning in June, Netflix members will be able to instantly watch several hundred Miramax movies, with dozens of titles being added on a rotating basis.  The movies can be watched on multiple platforms, including TV, tablet, computer and mobile phones.  Initial titles include such groundbreaking Miramax titles as THE ENGLISH PATIENT, SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE, CLERKS, PULP FICTION, KILL BILL, SCREAM, SPY KIDS, THE PIANO, COLD MOUNTAIN, GOOD WILL HUNTING, CHASING AMY and many others.
