Latin American cinema, one of the most dynamic in the world, is making New York its port of call during the Tribeca Film Festival. Among the highlights of the Latino films in the program: ALL IN, an Argentine romantic comedy from director Daniel Burman; UNA NOCHE, a story of Cuban teenagers who attempt a new life in Miami; and XINGU, Brazilian director Cao Hamburger’s film about the encounter in the 1940s between an ambitious set of brothers and the native Xingu Indians, who live close to the land. Hispanic-American director Macdara Vallely also scores with BABYGIRL, a heartfelt drama about conflict in a Bronx household.
