Royal Wedding Redux For Sony Pictures

The timing could not be more perfect considering the Royal Wedding unfolding in London today.  Sony Pictures has announced that it has acquired an untitled royal wedding-themed pitch by (500) DAYS OF SUMMER scribes Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber that will be produced by former production president Matt Tolmach. The film tells the tale of a girl from the American Midwest who goes to the UK and winds up marrying a prince. It has been described as NOTTING HILL meets MEET THE PARENTS……only this time, the parents are the King and Queen of England.
