Shooting Stars Go East

Four of 2011’s Shooting Stars, an initiative of the pan-European European Film Promotion organization to showcase up-and-coming acting talents, are heading east to attend China’s biggest film event. The Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) has invited the young European actors to take part in an international star program at the 14th edition of the event which is set to run between June 15 – 19 in China’s largest city and financial hub. The actors taking part include Alexander Fehling (Germany), Sylvia Hoeks (The Netherlands), Natasha Petrovic (Macedonia) and Nik Xhelilaj (Albania). The full roster of the ten newest Shooting Stars were presented at special promotion events at this year’s Berlin Film Festival.
