January 12, 2010 (Burbank, CA)       Createasphere continues its successful series of behind-the-scenes webcasts, The Best of TV: Dexter, on Saturday, January 29th.  “Dexter,” compelling and popular, follows Dexter Morgan, brilliantly played by Michael C Hall, as a Miami Metro Police Department blood spatter analyst who works to help homicide division solve murders, yet also satisfies his dark desires by hunting and killing bad guys who slip through the justice system.

The Best of TV series offers attendees the chance to hear from key creative team members, see clips they have chosen and ask them questions. Director-DP Romeo Tirone, and award-winning editor Louis Cioffi, ACE, joins Iain Stasukevich, Contributing Writer for American Cinematographer, in a far ranging conversation about working on the show and their own pathway to this unique serial-killer story.

The webcast offers a rare opportunity for attendees to interact and directly ask questions about how decisions were made and scenes were crafted.  The webcast series has been developed in association with American Cinematographer Magazine and American Cinema Editors.

About the Best of TV: DEXTER participants:
Director and cinematographer Romeo Tirone joined the “Dexter” team on the first episode of “Dexter” and continues to direct and shoot the series.  A successful and in-demand DP for music videos and commercials, Dexter was Tirone’s first episodic credit, who is now shooting and directing “True Blood” as well as other shows.  He is an Emmy nominee for his cinematography of “Dexter.”

Louis Cioffi, ACE, has been working on “Dexter” since 2007 and won the 2010 American Cinema Editors Eddie Award for the episode “Remain To Be Seen”.  He was also nominated for the 2010 Hollywood Post Alliance best editing honor for the same episode. Previously, Cioffi edited several independent films and while at MTV, edited various series and independent films, including the pilot to “Undressed” which allowed him the opportunity to work with the Oscar nominated director Roland Joffe, “The Killing Fields” and “The Mission.”

Registration is limited to 200 online attendees.  The cost for the web cast is $25.00.  For registration and complete information, visit http://www.createasphere.com/webcasts or call 818.842.6611.
