Indie director Mary Harron (I SHOT ANDY WARHOL, AMERICAN PSYCHO) has been hired by Universal Pictures to direct WICKED LOVELY, an adaptation of the Melissa Marr fantasy novel series. The film, to be produced by actor Vince Vaughn’s production company, revolves around a young teen named Aislinn, who has seen dangerous faeries her entire life but has managed to survive by adhering to a strict set of rules that have kept her safe … until now. Caroline Thompson (EDWARD SCISSORHANDS) wrote the script. If the initial film is successful, there are four more books in the series. Harron has just wrapped the indie film THE MOTH DIARIES, a film that stars Lily Cole, Sarah Bolger and Scott Speedman.
