Polanski Working from Swiss Prison

Roman PolanskiBBC is reporting that director Roman Polanski will attempt to complete his film “The Ghost” from the Swiss jail where he is currently being housed.

The film’s screenwriter, Robert Harris, speaking at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, said that, “He can make his wishes known from his cell. I don’t think he can make phone calls but he can communicate, The film is based on Harris’s novel of the same name, and stars Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan and Kim Cattrall. It follows a ghost writer who is helping a former British Prime Minister write his memoirs. Polanski finished shooting the film this past May, and finished editing it on the day of his arrest. He has been said to want to have the film completed for the 2010 Berlin Film Festival, and recently gave instructions about the film score to Alexandre Desplat.
