Bounce TV: First Network For African-Americans

Written by: FFT Webmaster | May 6th, 2011

Bounce TV, the first over-the-air broadcast television catering to African-American audiences, has announced that it will be available in 26 Raycom Media markets and clear at least half of the country when it launches this fall. The distribution deal is the first for Bounce TV, a network announced last month that includes Martin Luther King III and Ambassador Andrew Young among its founders. The hope among filmmakers and television producers is that the network will be an important buyer of films created by and oriented to the African-American audience and those interested in black culture in general.
