Drew Barrymore Returning To Director Seat

Written by: FFT Webmaster | May 23rd, 2011

Drew Barrymore, the former child actress who has become one of the leading lights of romantic comedy, has announced that she will be back in the director’s chair for the romcom HOW TO BE SINGLE. The film, based on the 2008 novel by Liz Tuccillo and adapted by HE’S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU screenwriters Marc Silverstein and Abby Klein, will follow a group of New Yorkers and their dating adventures over the course of 10 years. For her second directorial effort (following her 2009 roller derby comedy WHIP IT), Barrymore is still undecided over whether she will act in the film. However with the shoot planned for this summer on the streets of Manhattan, a decision will be made in the coming days.
