First Run Features Picks Up CIA Biodoc

Written by: FFT Webmaster | August 22nd, 2011

New York-based specialty distributor First Run Features has picked up U.S. rights to THE MAN NOBODY KNEW: IN SEARCH OF MY FATHER, CIA SPYMASTER WILLIAM COLBY, an autobiographical documentary by Carl Colby. The film examines the career of the director’s late father, a former director of the CIA. Through archival footage, photos and interviews with such prominent politicos as Donald Rumsfeld and James Schlesinger and celebrated journalists such as Bob Woodward and Seymour Hersh, a portrait of both the public and (very) private man begins to emerge. The film was produced by Jedburgh Films, Act Four Entertainment and Guggenheim Productions. First Run is planning a New York bow on September 23, with a limited national rollout to follow in October.
