IFP’s Script To Screen Conference Held In NYC

This past weekend, national filmmaker organization IFP presented its annual Script to Screen Conference, held at 92Y Tribeca. The event is pitched to explore the art, craft, and business of screenwriting and creating the next generation of independent film and media screenwriters. Attending filmmakers heard from a clutch of personalities and industry reps, including Oscar-nominated director Bennett Miller (MONEYBALL, CAPOTE), writer/directors Ry Russo-Young (NOBODY WALKS), Leslye Headland (BACHELORETTE), Liza Johnson (RETURN), Madeleine Olnek (CODEPENDENT LESBIAN SPACE ALIEN SEEKS SAME), Jonathan Ames (BORED TO DEATH), Ethan T. Berlin and Eric Bryant (BUNK) and Dia Sokol Savage (16 & PREGNANT). Industry reps include speakers from Collegehumor.com, Writers Guild of America East, Tribeca Film Institute, YouTube, Cinereach, and the New York Television Festival. The day-long Conference also included live pitch sessions with representatives of the Writers Guild of America East, New York Television Festival, and BookExpo America.
