INDEPENDENT FILM WEEK SET FOR LINCOLN CENTER
Written by: FFT Webmaster | August 31st, 2011
Independent Film Week, the newly named weeklong series of screenings, seminars, special events and receptions for the independent film community sponsored by the Independent Feature Project/IFP non—profit organization, will be held from September 18 to 23 at the Film Society of Lincoln Center. Formerly called the IFP Market, the event moves from such previous downtown locations as the Angelika Film Center and the Fashion Institution of Technology to occupy the recently opened Elinor Bunin Monroe Film Center at Lincoln Center. The event is geared towards both American Independent and international filmmakers, to become aware of trends in the industry and to promote their individual projects to distributors, agents and financiers. Most events are geared towards the industry but there are also some screenings and special events geared to the general public.
