Krakow Film Festival Showcases Docs And Shorts

The 51st Krakow Film Festival (KFF) concluded today, cementing its status as one of the most important film events in Europe for documentaries, animation and short narrative films, In all, the Festival presented 223 films (42 narrative films, 49 animated works and132 documentaries). The KFF also offered a series of events for professionals (Industry Zone). The Krakow Film Market selected 300 films (out of 1500 submissions). To support filmmakers and what festival organisers term “socially-engaged and honest documentary films”, the Dragon Forum was set up, allowing filmmakers to pitch completed documentaries to distributors, producers, broadcasters and other film institutions. Among the highlights in the competition were the Danish film MY AVATAR AND ME, the British production GUILTY PLEASURES, American director Jennifer Fox’s MY REINCARNATION and the French film NOBODY KNOWS MY NAME. The Festival also featured a special showcase on Dutch films.
