Nantucket Film Festival Program Set For Late June

The 2011 Nantucket Film Festival, which will take place on the island resort from June 22 to 26, will showcase a program of strong indie and international films, along with a number of newly announced special events. The Festival will host its annual All-Star Comedy Roundtable presented by Ben Stiller, who will be on hand for the event.  This year’s event will be hosted by Seth Meyers of Saturday Night Live and breakout comedy sensation Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation).  Another returning favorite is Late Night Storytelling, to be co-hosted this year by Glee’s Mike O’Malley and comedy  legend Anne Meara. The Compass Rose Acting Award will be given to Oscar nominated actress Vera Farmiga, who’s directorial debut HIGHER GROUND will be closing the fest.  The festival opener is the family animation feature CARS 2, directed by John Lasseter, with the Wall Street drama MARGIN CALL, with an all-star cast that includes Kevin Spacey, Jeremy Irons, Zachary Quinto, and Paul Bettany, featured as the festival’s Centerpiece Film.
