Oscilloscope To Release SXSW Documentary

Written by: FFT Webmaster | June 29th, 2012

Oscilloscope Laboratories has acquired North American rights to Bill and Turner Ross’s acclaimed documentary TCHOUPITOULAS. The film premiered to rave reviews at the South by South Film Festival and was warmly received at other festivals including this Spring including HotDocs, The Dallas International Film Festival, and The Ashland Independent Film Festival. It is the first film from the New Orleans based Ross Brothers since their award-winning 2009 documentary 45365.   TCHOUPITOULAS is a lyrical documentary that follows three adolescent brothers as they journey through one night in New Orleans, encountering a vibrant kaleidoscope of dancers, musicians, hustlers, and revelers parading through the lamplit streets. The filmmakers fully immerse us into the New Orleans night, passing through many lively and luminous locations and introducing us to the people who make the city their home.
