Phase 4 Films Acquires Sundance Comedy

Written by: FFT Webmaster | March 30th, 2012

THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID, a feminist comedy that made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival has been acquired for North American Rights by Phase 4 Films. The film, starring Anne Heche and directed by Carrie Preston, is the story of two best friends — one who’s trying to move on from a relationship, the other starting a new romance. They meet a third woman with her own love issues and a series of New York misadventures begins. Producers are Lucy Barzun Donnelly, Joshua Astrachan, Mona Panchal and Preston. Submarine Films reps the film and negotiated the final deal. The director has described her film as a “chick flick that’s not for pussies…..it is an unflinching answer to the ubiquitous bro-mance, so I guess you could call it a wo-mance.” Look for it to hit theaters in the coming months.
