Present Obama Passes The Hat In Hollywood

If President Obama hopes to avoid being a one-term commander-in-chief, he will need the clout and capital of Hollywood to fund his election campaign. Obama made his way to Los Angeles last week to raise support (and money) for his re-election bid. A handful of huge Hollywood names are rallying around the President, helping him raise over $2 million dollars over the course of a single day. His first stop was at the House of Blues in West Hollywood for a concert event that was mc’d by Jesse Tyler Ferguson (MODERN FAMILY) and featured performances by DJ Adams 12, B.O.B. and the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles. At a more intimate (and higher price-per-plate) soiree at tony restaurant Fig & Olive, the President was joined by such Hollywood heavyweights as producer Jeffrey Katzenberg, actress Eva Longoria, writer Aaron Sorkin, producer Judd Apatow and AVATAR producer Jon Landau.
