Written by: FFT Webmaster | April 28th, 2011

On Tuesday evening, The Creative Coalition, the premiere non-profit advocacy organization for the arts and entertainment community, held its annual Spotlight Initiative Awards Gala at the HSBC Bank Building in New York City. Awards were presented to theater, television and film actress Blythe Danner , director Doug Liman, actor/director Griffin Dunne and Golden Globe-winning actor Anthony LaPaglia. Presenters included actors Matthew Modine and Liev Schreiber.  The Spotlight Initiative Awards celebrate the art and craft of independent filmmaking, and honor those who leverage the platform of the silver screen to make a difference in the world.  The Creative Coalition is dedicated to educating, mobilizing, and activating its members on issues of public importance, primarily public education, the First Amendment, and arts advocacy.
