Sycamore Entertainment Enters Horror Stakes

Written by: FFT Webmaster | December 2nd, 2011

Sycamore  Entertainment Group, led by Edward Sylvan, is entering the US distribution market with their first acquisition, ISLE OF DOGS, which is the fourth horror feature by Tammi Sutton. The film picked up the Best Thriller Feature Film award at Shriekfest last month. Sutton’s next film is WELCOME TO GRAVELAND, the first part of a trilogy of films, described as highly stylized biker films to be shot in the American South West. Edgy genre films are one of the few indie sectors that have been healthy in a increasingly challenging marketplace. The Sycamore Entertainment Group is planning a platform release of ISLE OF DOGS in the first quarter of 2012, with further acquisitions expected to be announced in a few weeks. Sycamore is releasing this film in association with DreamFactory Entertainment Inc., headed by veteran Robert Dudelson, whose involvement with the horror genre goes back to the cult classic NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET.
