The Turin Film Festival will present its Grand Premio Torino Lifetime Achievement Award to celebrated British director Ken Loach. The 30-year-old Turin event will honor Loach and screenwriting collaborator Paul Laverty, and will host the Italian premiere of THE ANGELS’ SHARE, a rare comedy from the director about a group of young unemployed Glaswegian workers who find salvation through single-malt Scotch whiskey. The film won the jury prize in Cannes this year. The film is featured at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival next month and will be released in the United States by Sundance Selects in the Fall.
