Star Presenters Added To Sidney Poitier Tribute

The 2011 Chaplin Award Gala is one of the highlights of the film season in New York and a charity benefit for the Film Society of Lincoln Center, the inestimable film resource that will soon open a major new home with three additional theaters. This year there is added excitement with the planned tribute to screen icon Sidney Poitier, an actor/director whose career was a game-changer in film history. Among the presenters now confirmed for the gala on Monday, May 2nd at Alice Tully Hall are Ben Kingsley, Bill Cosby, Chris Tucker, Dan Aykroyd, Danny Glover, Harry Belafonte, James Earl Jones, Lulu, Mary Louise Parker, Morgan Freeman, Norman Jewison, Quincy Jones, Quentin Tarantino and Ruby Dee.
