The Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center, the long-awaited expansion by the Film Society of Lincoln Center in New York, is hosting a sneak preview for press and industry today Thursday. The new Film Center, which officially opens on June 17, will house two theaters – the 150-seat Francesca Beale Theater and the intimate 90-seat Howard Gilman Theater which will show new specialized film releases, as well as a lounge café.  Additionally, the Film Center has a 90-seat amphitheater, with a 152” Panasonic Plasma screen (the largest of its kind on public display in the country) which will house lectures, panels and educational programs. The Film Center’s inaugural title will be the acclaimed documentary PAGE ONE: INSIDE THE NEW YORK TIMES, which will be released theatrically by Magnolia Pictures and play on both of the Film Center’s screens beginning June 17. The official opening will be preceded by several days of free programming open to the general public and will include special screenings, music performances and discussions on film by top filmmakers, luminaries and academics.  For more information, visit: www.filmlinc.com
